Firstly, a big congratulations to Nick Penick for playing in the Symphonic Orchestra after last night's Region Orchestra auditions!!! Give him some love if you see him around today!

Secondly, here's the plan for this week:
Tuesday: 
Wind Ensemble: Veteran's Day Dress Rehearsal 4-6pm

Wednesday: Veteran's Day Program this evening!
Wind Ensemble students should wear dress blacks. 
1:55-3:15- rehearsal/run through (during 7th pd)
4:00 - Dinner
5:30 - on stage 
6:15 - Start marches/choir set
6:30 - Program begins
7:15 - break down auditorium and eat dinner

Thursday:
8:00am-9:15am - Jazz Band Auditions (in Mr. Gonzalez' office - sign up for a time slot!)
No After School Rehearsal! Go to tutorials!

Friday:
Varsity FB vs Katy HS (at Katy Rhodes Stadium)
Halftime will be: 

• PRIDE Tune: Americano
• Mvmt. #1

• Fight Song off the Field

4:00pm - Run & Done
4:30 - Load trucks/Inspection
5:00 - Load buses
5:15 - Depart Westside HS
6:15 - Arrive at Rhodes Stadium
7:00 - Kickoff
appx. 10:00 - Game ends; load buses
appx. 10:20 - Depart Rhodes Stadium
appx. 11:00 - Arrive at Westside HS; uniform check-in
11:30 - Band Hall closes; have a ride!!!

I wanted to personally invite you to a special evening.  Join our JROTC, Band, Choir & Westside community as we honor our men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.  The free program will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11th in the Auditorium.  We have a special reception for our Veterans and their families in the Commons area at 5:30 p.m.  The students have worked very hard to put together a fantastic evening.  I hope you and yours plans on attending.

Wolf Band!
Reminder for tomorrow (Friday, 11/6/15)--we DO have our last Pep Rally of the semester. Please wear your Band Shirt (either one is fine, but you MUST wear one of THIS YEAR'S shirts); just make sure to wear your WOLF BAND shirt under your uniform for the game!
