Tuesday:
4pm-7:30pm - Indoor Percussion Rehearsal

Wednesday:
4pm-5:30pm - Symphonic Winds ASR #3 (BRASS ONLY!)

Thursday:
8am-9:15am - Big Band Rehearsal (last one before Waltrip Festival!)
4pm-7:30pm - Indoor Percussion Rehearsal

Saturday:
This Saturday, the Westside Big Band will participate in the annual Jazz@1900 Festival hosted by Waltrip HS. They will perform at 3:30pm on Saturday, so wish them luck! If any parents/guardians are interested attending the contest, admission is free to the public for the duration of the contest. After an awards ceremony, a special Guest Artist Concert featuring the Lamar University Jazz Ensemble, as well as Waltrip's Jazz Ensemble I with celebrated trumpet soloist, Jon Faddis. Special shout-out to all the students who participated in Solo & Ensemble this past weekend! You all worked incredibly hard and are better musicians because of that!

As we approach Shades of Blue 2016 next Tuesday evening, here are a few things to keep in mind:

We are in need of 4 parent volunteers (sorry about the confusion!) to help with setup of drapes and such for Shades of Blue! if you are available, please email Mr. Brunson at jbrunson@houstonisd.org for further details!

The FINAL deadline for RSVPs is TOMORROW at 8PM. This includes any edits that may need to be made to existing RSVPs. Again, our FINAL count that will be sent to Outback Steakhouse be finalized tomorrow evening at 8PM.
