Friendswood Marching Contest
What: Friendswood Marching Contest (prelims and finals)
Where: Friendswood High School Stadium (702 Greenbriar Friendswood, TX 77546). Directions for family and friends is on the back.
When: Saturday, October 1, 2011, 7:45 am-10:00 pm
- 7:45 am: Report to band hall
- 8:00 am: Rehearsal
- 8:45 am: Dress/load truck
- 9:15 am: load buses and depart
- 10:30 am: Arrive at Friendswood
- 11:15 am: Warm-up
- 12:15 am: PERFORMANCE!!!
- 1:00 pm: Depart for Baybrook Mall
- 1:15 pm: Lunch
- 2:30 pm: Depart mall
- 2:45 pm: Observe other performing ensembles
- 4:45 pm: Awards ceremony
- 6:30 pm: prepare for finals (if selected) or more observations
- 6:30 pm: Dinner at concessions
- 10:00 pm : Arrive back at Westside
Remember:
- Report to Westside in band shirt, band shorts, LONG black socks, and band shoes
- Students will need money for TWO meals (lunch at the mall and dinner at the stadium concessions). Students can bring a sack meal if they prefer
- There may be opportunities to purchase T-shirts, DVDs, and other items at the contest. Bring additional funds if you are interested
